My golf journey

As a 12-year-old, I was introduced to the game of golf for the first time. Before going to the range, playing golf wasn’t something I expected to do more often. But once I saw that little ball fly, I was hooked.

When I was younger, my dream was to become a Grandmaster (GM) of chess. Not to be arrogant, but I was well on my way! As time went on, my love for golf grew stronger and I decided to lay down the chess pieces and pursue a career in the game of golf instead.

It’s been quite the journey ever since. After high school, I was offered the opportunity to play for the Serbian National Team, giving me the possibility of competing in some of the best events around Europe. And, I’ve had the chance of becoming a member at the prestigious ‘Eindhovensche Golf’ in The Netherlands, where you can find me most of the time to this day.

It’s a humbling game, that we can’t perfect. But what I’ve always done well is to keep learning and to constantly look for solutions and ways to get better. I’ve had to rethink my approach to golf and to improvement many times over, leading me to learn a lot about the game. The biggest lesson I can give to you all:

Instead of blindly staring at swing technique, look at which of the actual performance parameters need change. From there, try to understand what impact laws will help improve that performance aspect. Only then, should you decide on making either a technical change, or a different kind of adjustment. Through understanding this process, and working on it directly, I worked my way up from a 2 HCP to a HCP of +5 within 1.5 years.

Although I picked up the game later than most, through hard and structured work, and through learning from some of the best coaches in the world, I have been making the right progress.

Today, I am ranked as the number 1 amateur golfer in Serbia, and the 275th ranked amateur golfer in the world. My intentions along my journey to competing on the DP World Tour, are to share the many lessons I’m learning along the way, and to help other golfers on their path to improvement.

In 2023 I began posting golf tip videos on TikTok and Instagram. The amount of positive feedback I’ve received inspired me to continue posting. My videos began reaching millions of people, which ignited my love for coaching and helping other players. That’s what lead me to this point in time, where I spend my entire days helping other players improve, while practicing my own game and honing my own skills.
